This spring, the Celiac Disease Foundation was a title sponsor of the inaugural Asian Pacific Celiac Disease Symposium (APCDS) 2024. The conference drew professionals, researchers, and thought leaders from 16 countries to address key challenges in diagnosis and treatment of celiac disease in the Asia Pacific region.

The Celiac Disease Foundation has joined forces with the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) Foundation to introduce two groundbreaking awards specifically designed to advance celiac disease research. These initiatives aim to foster novel research endeavors, emphasizing the importance for medical professionals to delve into the complexities of this lifelong autoimmune condition. 

Earlier this month, SSCD hosted their first quarterly webinar of 2024 on “Under-Represented Populations in Celiac Disease.” During the webinar, the Celiac Disease Foundation and SSCD announced the launch of the Improving Health Equity in Celiac Disease Through Disparities Research Award.

The Celiac Disease Foundation is proud to announce that Robert Anderson, MB, ChB, PhD, has joined the Foundation as its Principal Science & Innovation Advisor. In his new role, Dr. Anderson will draw on his extensive background to provide scientific expertise and guidance to the organization and its stakeholders.

The Board represents a diverse mix of professionals, patients, and caregivers who are deeply committed to advancing the Foundation’s mission of accelerating diagnosis, treatments, and a cure for celiac disease.

The Celiac Disease Foundation and Celiac Cruise are pleased to announce an innovative partnership to offer safe and delicious gluten-free travel experiences, provide educational opportunities, and foster philanthropy within the celiac disease community.

Each November the Celiac Disease Foundation hosts our annual Turkey Trot to raise funds for celiac disease research to accelerate treatments and a cure. On November 11 and 12, more than 1,200 supporters from 38 states and countries around the world laced up to move 3.1 miles (5K) for a cure.
