The Celiac Disease Foundation Research Working Group, comprised of researchers and clinician-scientists, biopharmaceutical professionals, policy experts, and representatives from the Executive and Legislative branches of the U.S. government, identifies and shares opportunities to elevate the needs and concerns of patients to national policy makers and federal regulators. The Research Working Group also seeks to identify and resolve common barriers related to/involved with the development of FDA approved treatments and cures for celiac disease.

The Research Working Group meets quarterly to discuss the current state of celiac disease research, to identify gaps and challenges – particularly in drug development, to share best practices and lessons learned, and to propose recommendations for future actions to accelerate the development of novel therapies and assure federal protections for people with celiac disease.
