On behalf of the entire celiac disease patient community, thank you for your participation in the Celiac Disease Foundation’s 2023 Gift of Hope campaign! Our annual year-end initiative to raise awareness and funds for celiac disease research was nothing short of extraordinary – and it is all thanks to YOU.

The investments we make as a direct result of your generosity are showing real returns.

Thanks to your commitment to research, the National Institutes of Health is now consistently funding celiac disease research and the Department of Defense made its first-ever funding allocation for celiac disease, setting the stage for groundbreaking discoveries and innovations.

Thanks to your commitment to education, we have expanded our sponsorships of healthcare provider and patient education symposiums at world-renowned celiac disease centers including Columbia University, the University of Chicago, and the Harvard Medical School Celiac Education & Research Program. These investments advance continuing education opportunities for health providers and empower patients in our community. Coming in 2024 we will be adding a virtual Culinary Medicine program, bringing together doctors, dietitians, and chefs to educate our community in the latest in celiac disease including how to prepare safe, delicious, and nutritious meals

Thanks to your commitment to advocacy, we are fostering innovation through multifaceted collaborations, including partnering with Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company (Cost Plus Drugs) to provide resources for consumers on gluten in medications and with Array Insights to use the power of the patient story to investigate trends in diagnostic challenges in celiac disease.

These are just a few examples of how your gifts allow the Foundation to champion a future where individuals can lead a life free from the limitations of celiac disease.

Thank you once again for your commitment and generosity.

Interested to learn more about how you can power progress? We invite you to consider additional ways to make an impact:

  • Add your data to our iCureCeliac® patient registry: Your experience with celiac disease is critical to ongoing disease policy and research efforts. iCureCeliac® is the single best global resource of patient data to inform the need for patient protections and for treatments and a cure.
  • Join Team Gluten-Free®: This community fundraising program provides a simple way for athletes and non-athletes alike to raise awareness and funds to bolster the Foundation’s mission to accelerate diagnosis, treatments, and a cure for celiac disease.
  • Become a Policy Advocate: Despite the millions who suffer, celiac disease has largely been ignored by our federal government which, until recently, has provided little to no funding for research or public awareness of its serious consequences. Enroll as a Policy Advocate today – all you need is your voice, your passion, and a commitment to making a difference, and we will provide you with the resources and opportunities to make celiac disease the national priority it should be!
