Improving the quality of life for celiac disease patients and their families is a top priority of the Celiac Disease Foundation. To this end, we invest in programs developed by leading academic research centers in celiac disease to educate healthcare professionals, researchers, and the patient community on the latest developments in disease diagnosis, care, treatments, and cure. Below are two upcoming programs, one at Columbia University and the other at the University of Chicago, that we want to bring to your attention. As always, your support makes all of our work possible.
April 1 | Columbia University Celiac Connect Continuing Medical Education
The Celiac Disease Foundation is supporting the Columbia University Celiac Connect Continuing Medical Education on April 1, 2022. This international program, “How Common is Celiac Disease Around the World? Role of Gluten Timing and Quantity, and Environmental Risk Factors,” is open to clinicians, researchers, dietitians and nutritionists, and patients. This is the first in a series of ten CME events hosted by Columbia University to increase the knowledge base of participants in the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of celiac disease.
April 23 | UChicago Neurological and Psychological Implications in Celiac Disease
The Celiac Disease Foundation is sponsoring the UChicago webinar, Neurological and Psychological Implications in Celiac Disease, on April 23, 2022. Bringing together experts from around the country, this activity will offer insight into a variety of experiences and research, as well as provide highlights of the most current information by experts in the field relating to the neurological and psychological implications in celiac disease. This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, researchers, other healthcare professionals, and patients dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of celiac disease.
