Our Campaigns and Initiatives
Advocacy Starts With You
Your voice has the power to create meaningful change for the celiac disease community. Whether you’re contacting lawmakers, sharing your story, or supporting research priorities, every action helps move us closer to better policies, increased research funding, and improved quality of life. We’ve made it easy to get involved by providing the information, talking points, and ready-to-send messages you need—no advocacy experience required.
Current Advocacy Campaigns
A few minutes is all it takes to make your voice heard. Our advocacy campaigns provide everything you need to contact your elected officials and support policies that improve the lives of people with celiac disease.
Policy Priorities
Our current policy priorities inform what we advocate for on behalf of the celiac disease community.
-
Increase research funding. We advocate for increased National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for celiac disease and for celiac disease to be included in the Department of Defense (DOD) Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program.
-
Improve access to care. We advocate for policies that ensure that all people with celiac disease can access and afford the care they need.
-
Improve education and awareness. We advocate for policies that increase knowledge of celiac disease and related issues for patients, providers, and the general public.
-
Improve food labeling. We advocate for policies that make it easier and safer for people with celiac disease to purchase food items.
-
Improve food security and access. We advocate for policies that support the protection and expansion of federal nutrition programs to ensure families with celiac disease do not go hungry.
-
Improve health outcomes and quality of life. We advocate for policies that shorten the celiac disease diagnostic journey, improve other health outcomes, and improve the quality of life for people with celiac disease.
