We are pleased to announce that Celiac Disease Foundation Board Member, Kristin Yarema, PhD, Chief Commercial Officer of Atara Biotherapeutics, was honored as a 2022 Medical Marketing & Media Woman of Distinction. This annual award celebrates individuals whose leadership, creativity, and insight inspire everyone who encounters them. Anyone who knows Kristin can appreciate that no one is more worthy of this prestigious award.
Kristin joined the Celiac Disease Foundation Board in 2017. She discovered the Foundation after her daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease at age two. We invited her to join the Board knowing she would be an asset with her expertise as a pharmaceutical executive and experience bringing new therapeutics to market. Kristin’s vision, leadership, and contributions over the years have completely changed the trajectory of the Celiac Disease Foundation. As a volunteer Chief Scientific Officer for the Foundation, her insight, patience, and willingness to put in the work have been invaluable in shaping the Foundation’s direction of our three pillars: research, advocacy, and education. We are particularly grateful for Kristin’s foundational work in the development of the iCureCeliac® Patient Registry and the iQualifyCeliac Study Screening Platform, her guidance in creating and implementing our Research Grant Awards Program, and her continued commitment to the celiac disease community.
