Patients, family members, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and gluten-free foodies will converge at the Pasadena Convention Center for this educational and gluten-free experience. The June 3 Conference, the Patients As Partners Research Symposium, will give participants the opportunity to be trained as Patient Advocates, as well as network with other participants and help set CDF’s research priorities. Patient Advocates who complete the Research Symposium requirements and become Celiac Disease Foundation Patient Advocates are eligible to:
- Participate in research opportunities with CDF partners
- Serve on research study committees and clinical guidelines panels
- Evaluate grant proposals
- Mentor new Patient Advocates
- Become a PCORI Patient Ambassador
- And more!
All Research Symposium attendees will receive free entrance into the Gluten-Free EXPO.
The EXPO on June 3 & 4 celebrates food options now available for people with celiac disease, non-celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity, and others who seek benefits from the gluten-free diet. For many attendees, this is the first time they will be surrounded by a community of people living with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity. The EXPO will feature more than 100 companies exhibiting the latest and best in gluten-free products and services. Attendees will be able to sample to their heart’s content, try new products not yet found in stores, and leave with a bagful of gluten-free goodies and coupons. Additionally, the first 500 EXPO attendees will receive a free swag bag filled with delicious gluten-free goodies! With lectures, blogger presentations, and products available for purchase at discounted prices, this is an event not to be missed!
“This year’s Conference, the Patients As Partners Research Symposium, will give attendees the opportunity to get involved in the research process and help shape the future of CDF research,” said Marilyn G. Geller, Celiac Disease Foundation Chief Executive Officer. “CDF is proud that we continue to make the patient and caregiver voice heard” stated James J.
