Bethlehem, PA. (December 16, 2019) — Mikey’s, maker of gluten-free baked goods and hand-held pockets, announced a sponsorship with the Celiac Disease Foundation today. The Celiac Disease Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating diagnosis, treatments, and a cure for celiac disease through research, education, and advocacy initiatives.

Founder and CEO Mike Tierney created Mikey’s after years of finding gluten-free products filled with unnecessary ingredients and preservatives. Using simple, high-quality ingredients, he created his first product—the Original English Muffin—and Mikey’s was born. The company is committed to providing those with celiac disease or gluten intolerances convenient choices for every meal. Mikey’s product line includes gluten-free English muffins, tortillas, pizza crusts and hand-held pockets. Recognizing that celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivities frequently go hand-in-hand with other food intolerances, Mikey’s does not use dairy or soy in any of its products as well.

“The Celiac Disease Foundation does great work to improve the quality of life for people with celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity,” said Tierney. “Mikey’s shares that mission, and we strive to make life easier for those living with dietary restrictions by making delicious and convenient options for every meal. We’re proud to offer a line of gluten-free products that don’t compromise on taste or quality.”

Mikey’s will be supporting the Celiac Disease Foundation Gluten-Free EXPO at the Pasadena Convention Center in June 2020. It is the largest meeting of its kind in the country, providing educational sessions with top researchers along with a gluten-free expo showcasing products and services that support gluten-free consumers.

“As the number of Americans with celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity continues to rise, families and caregivers are in need of convenient, gluten-free food options,” said Marilyn G. Geller, the Celiac Disease Foundation’s Chief Executive. “The Celiac Disease Foundation welcomes the partnership with Mikey’s in furthering our shared mission, and we look forward to what we can accomplish together.”
