The Celiac Disease Foundation is proud to announce its new association with the American Gastroenterologist Association (AGA) as an official Allied Partner through AGA’s Allied Group Program. This milestone strengthens the Foundation’s ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based educational programs for both healthcare providers and patients by formally connecting the Foundation and it’s Scientific Advisory Committee, the Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (SSCD), with one of the world’s leading organizations in digestive health.

The AGA Allied Group Program establishes formal partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to advance education, training, and awareness across gastrointestinal medicine. Through this new collaboration, the Celiac Disease Foundation and it’s SSCD experts will work closely with AGA and its extensive network to expand access to trusted resources on celiac disease, including diagnostic strategies, evolving research, and best practices for lifelong management.

“This Allied Partnership represents a powerful step forward in elevating celiac disease within the GI community,” said Dawn Adams, Chair of the Society for the Study of Celiac Disease. “By collaborating with AGA, we are broadening our ability to deliver science-driven education to clinicians and researchers. We hope this partnership will emphasize opportunities in celiac care and inspire future clinicians and scientists.”

The partnership is a major advancement for the Foundation’s mission to accelerate diagnosis, expand clinician training, and support patients with high-quality, evidence-based information.

“Partnerships like this are essential to advancing high-quality digestive healthcare,” said Tom Serena, CEO of AGA. “By combining our respective strengths, we can accelerate research, improve clinical decision-making, and build greater awareness of celiac disease across the GI field. This partnership reflects AGA’s commitment to equipping providers with the highest standards of science-based education.”

“We are honored to join AGA as an Allied Partner,” said Marilyn Geller, CEO of the Celiac Disease Foundation. “Too many patients still face delayed diagnosis and inconsistent clinical guidance. This partnership allows us to bring celiac disease education directly to the forefront of the GI practice and ensure that providers across the country have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to care for this patient community.”

The Foundation and its SSCD will collaborate with AGA on professional education, conference content, and the dissemination of evidence-based guidance, marking the beginning of a strategic, long-term partnership to improve outcomes for people with celiac disease.
