Jessica’s Granola joins fight against celiac disease
January 12, 2021 (Birmingham, MI) – Jessica’s Natural Foods announces corporate sponsorship with the Celiac Disease Foundation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating diagnosis, treatments, and a cure for celiac disease. Jessica’s donates to the Celiac Disease Foundation annually and this year is a Proud Sponsor. This sponsorship highlights Jessica’s dedication to giving back to causes the company believes in and the commitment to help improve the lives of those with celiac disease.
Founder and President Jessica Mindell states, “One of the main reasons I started my company is to be able to give back to causes that make a difference in the world. That’s why each year we donate 5% of our profits to non-profit organizations! Since my company’s main focus is to create healthy, gluten-free products, working with the Celiac Disease Foundation is a natural fit for me. Their research, education, and advocacy for those suffering from celiac disease is inspiring, and I want to help in any way I can.”
When Jessica started her company over 11 years ago, there were no gluten-free oat-based granolas on the market. Jessica worked to develop a safe and delicious product and launched her granola business in May 2009. “When I found out my husband was gluten intolerant, I wanted to make him a healthy snack that he could eat without feeling sick. I was determined to create a gluten-free product that didn’t taste gluten-free. Eleven years later, we are still growing and still here making our amazing granola. We are looking forward to many more years to come!”
“Jessica and her family understand firsthand the struggles faced by our community, and we greatly appreciate her personal dedication to improve the quality of life for those with celiac disease. The support of Jessica’s Natural Foods allows the Celiac Disease Foundation to make meaningful strides towards increasing the diagnosis rate and the development of adjunct treatments,” says Marilyn G. Geller, Celiac Disease Foundation Chief Executive.
Jessica’s Natural Foods only uses GFCO certified gluten-free oats and her granola is made in a dedicated gluten-free facility. Her granola is also GF certified through the GFCO, and they test every lot down to 10ppm – food safety is a top priority!
In 2017, Jessica expanded her product offerings and successfully launched a line of gluten-free mixes and flour blend to rave reviews. Jessica’s mission is to provide delicious, all-natural, gluten-free products and to innovate new products that everyone can feel good about eating.
