At UEGW, researchers from Takeda, the University of Sheffield, Columbia University, Coeliac UK, and CDF virtually presented a study entitled, Experiences of a gluten-free diet in patients with celiac disease: a multi-national survey.

Researchers found that roughly one-third of celiac patients reported using probiotics for perceived health benefits, despite the lack of evidence that probiotics are an effective treatment for celiac disease symptoms.
