Every Celiac Cruise sailing makes an impact far beyond the ship. Through Cruising for a Cause, the onboard fundraising program benefiting the Celiac Disease Foundation, guests help provide medically necessary gluten-free food and expert nutrition support to individuals and families living with celiac disease across the United States.
This June, the Celiac Disease Foundation celebrated a special milestone aboard the 35th Celiac Cruise.
To mark the occasion, guests enjoyed a week filled with memorable experiences—from the annual Silent Disco and silent auction fundraiser to ice skating, keynote presentations from leading experts, a family-friendly soccer tournament, Holidaily Brewing beer tasting and trivia, and the beloved Taste of Royal, where guests experienced an elevated multi-course dining event created exclusively gluten-free for Celiac Cruise. Every activity, auction bid, and donation made through Cruising for a Cause helped raise critical funds to expand the Foundation’s Food Insecurity Resource Network (CD-FIRN).
Since partnering with Celiac Cruise in 2020, we’ve shared a commitment to making life better for people living with celiac disease. Celiac Cruise offers something many in our community rarely experience: the freedom to travel without the constant worry of finding gluten-free food. Guests enjoy dedicated gluten-free dining, educational programming led by world-renowned experts, and the opportunity to connect with others who truly understand life with celiac disease.
The impact of every sailing, however, reaches far beyond those on board.
Funds raised through Cruising for a Cause directly support the CD-FIRN program. Today, the program partners with 33 hospital and clinical centers across the United States to identify families in need and provide comprehensive support. Enrolled families receive monthly gluten-free food boxes, individualized nutrition education from expert celiac disease registered dietitians at no cost, and ongoing resources to help them successfully manage the only treatment for celiac disease, a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet.
