The Celiac Disease Foundation is proud to announce that CEO Marilyn Geller has been appointed to the Research & Programs Committee of the National Health Council (NHC). This appointment reflects longstanding leadership in patient advocacy and creates an important opportunity to contribute to efforts shaping healthcare research, programs, and policy.

The NHC represents more than 170 member organizations and is known for bringing the patient voice into decisions that guide research, programs, and policy. Its Research & Programs Committee helps set priorities and ensures that patient needs are reflected in how healthcare initiatives are designed and implemented. In this role, committee members work collaboratively to provide input on research and programmatic efforts across disease areas, helping to ensure that diverse patient experiences are considered in shaping these initiatives.

“We have long valued our partnership with the NHC and the opportunity to collaborate with organizations that share a commitment to patient-centered care,” said Marilyn Geller. “I am honored to join the Research & Programs Committee and look forward to engaging more closely with the Coalition and engage in national health policy discussions.”

Marilyn’s appointment to the Research & Programs Committee reinforces the Foundation’s role as a global leader in advancing policies that improve research, diagnosis, and treatment of celiac disease. We look forward to strengthening the Foundation’s collaboration with this key Coalition and supporting the NHC’s work to advance patient-centered priorities.
