On March 28, 2017, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) released the following recommendation about screening for celiac disease: “The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for celiac disease in asymptomatic patients.
