Contact your Members of Congress and urge them to protect the Medicaid program.
Celiac Disease Foundation is proud to join with the Modern Medicaid Alliance on their Medicaid Works campaign to help ensure that Americans can get affordable access to care. The Modern Medicaid Alliance is a group of organizations, grassroots advocates, and Medicaid beneficiaries that educate policymakers and the public about the benefits of Medicaid to the American people. The Medicaid Works campaign is a national education campaign designed to educate policymakers and the public about the vital care Medicaid delivers, Medicaid’s innovative solutions that are saving taxpayer dollars and increasing coverage across the country, and the need for Medicaid to remain a strong safety net for Americans.
For tens of millions of Americans, Medicaid plays a critical role in providing essential resources and tools to stay healthy. Despite what you may hear, Medicaid is a cost-efficient solution to ensure access to quality healthcare for those who need it, including people with celiac disease. Studies show that although celiac disease is more common in people with higher socioeconomic status¹˒², celiac disease patients with lower socioeconomic status have worse celiac disease-related health and more severe symptoms³. The Modern Medicaid Alliance and its many partners are working with policymakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country to improve Medicaid so that it remains stable and continues to deliver the high-quality care that families rely on.
It is essential that you make your voice heard now. Contact your Members of Congress today and urge them to protect Medicaid. Together, we can have a positive impact on the nation’s healthcare agenda.
