What is the Turkey Trot?
The Celiac Disease Foundation’s Turkey Trot is a virtual 5k walk/run that unites people across the country to raise awareness for celiac disease and fund life-changing research, advocacy, and education programs. Participants can complete the 5k at their own pace, in a location of their choosing, anytime between November 1-30, 2025.
What is the price for the 2025 Turkey Trot?
- Early Bird (through October 1): $35
- Regular Registration: $40

What will I receive when I register for the 2025 Turkey Trot?
- An official Turkey Trot t-shirt
- A customizable bib
- A race kit (adult and kid version)

- Opportunities to win incredible prizes throughout the campaign!
When should I expect to receive my t-shirt?
If you register by October 1, you’ll receive your t-shirt by November 1. Orders placed after October 1 may not receive the t-shirt before November 1 or the size of their choice. While we are so grateful for everyone’s participation, please note that we are only able to ship t-shirts within the continental United States.
When should I expect to receive my other fundraising prizes?
Prizes for challenge winners will be shipped after each challenge concludes. Winners will be announced on the Celiac Disease Foundation’s Instagram and will be alerted through email. Prize fulfillment will begin shortly after each announcement. Please give up to 4 weeks for delivery.
While we are so grateful for everyone’s participation, please note that we are only able to ship prizes within the continental United States.
How can I meet others who are participating?
Once you have registered, you will receive access to our private Turkey Trot Facebook group to meet others in our runner community. This event fosters connection and creates opportunities to form lasting relationships. Our Facebook group is a place to share stories, photos, videos, fundraising tips, and more!
What does fundraising involve?
Fundraising is a key part of the Turkey Trot and directly fuels research for treatments and a cure for celiac disease. While not required, fundraising is strongly encouraged – and it’s a great way to make your participation even more meaningful.
When you register, you’ll receive a personalized fundraising page where you can:
- Share your celiac story and fundraising goal
- Upload a photo
- Explain why this cause matters to you
You’ll also receive to a resource page that includes fundraising tips, email templates, race kits, a bib, and a social media toolkit to help you succeed. Don’t forget to use #iMove4Celiac to connect with others and raise awareness!
Plus, all participants get exclusive access to fundraising challenges throughout the campaign. Complete challenges to win exciting prizes like a Vitamix blender, Apple AirPods, and more!

Do I need to join or make a virtual team?
Being a part of a virtual team is encouraged but not required. Creating a team provides support for families and groups of fundraisers. With multiple team members raising funds and educating their networks, the message is amplified to new people and supporters.
