Sponsor and Conflict of Interest Policy
Celiac Disease Foundation (“the Foundation”) seeks sponsorships from relevant commercial organizations, manufacturers, and other leaders dedicated to providing products and services for those with celiac disease, non-celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity, or who practice a gluten-free lifestyle.
These sponsorships, which are a form of advertising, enable us to provide you with relevant content at no cost to you. The Foundation provides opportunities for sponsors to bring you their marketing message and information about their products and services by publishing their information or links within our site.
In order to clearly distinguish between the Foundation content and content that is created or provided by one of our sponsors, we always label content from our sponsors as “Proud Sponsor of Celiac Disease Foundation” or “Advertisement”.
The Foundation has sole discretion for determining the types of Sponsors that will be accepted and displayed on the Foundation websites, and under no circumstances will the Foundation’s acceptance of any Sponsorship be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised or for the company that advertises, manufactures, distributes, or promotes the products or services.
A click on a Sponsorship may only link the end user to the sponsor’s website or to a relevant sponsored content area on a Foundation website.
Pharmaceutical, Device and Biotechnology Funding Support
The Foundation strictly receives pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology funding support for research or patient education and advocacy programs only.
Further, we do not receive, nor do we solicit, general funding from these pharmaceutical industry partners. Pharmaceutical and other industry donors are valuable partners of the Foundation, but these partners do not in any way influence, advise, and/or recommend specific research projects and/or patient programs conducted by the Foundation or any of our collaborative partners.
The Foundation does not use aforementioned funding to support honoria, food, lodging, and/or transportation for any industry partner associates and/or employees. In addition, our industry partners and CDF are in full compliance with the Physician Payments Sunshine Act. The Foundation does not transfer any indirect or direct value to industry partners.
The Foundation does not in any way advocate, market, promote, and/or endorse any one product, device, and/or treatment from any pharmaceutical, device or biotechnology company. Furthermore, the Foundation does not participate in lobbying or other activities where the Foundation is directly advocating for public policy and/or legislative change with regard to the healthcare delivery system as supported by pharmaceutical, device, and/or biotechnology companies.
The Foundation has sole and absolute discretion with respect to interpretation and enforcement of this policy and all other issues associated with Sponsorship and Funding Support on the Foundation websites.
The Foundaton may change this policy at any time in its sole discretion by posting a revised policy to the applicable Foundation website. If you have any questions regarding this conflict of interest policy, you may contact the CEO at [email protected].
