Most of us have experienced the challenge of finding a public restroom, but for many, restroom access isn’t just a matter of convenience — it’s a serious medical issue.

The risk of developing CAD in celiac patients was found to be higher for white males, and patients with celiac disease and CAD are more likely to have disorders such as high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, and iron-deficiency anemia.  

Last week in Washington, D.C., the Celiac Disease Foundation and our allies secured two critical wins in our mission to drive policy change to improve the health of those living with celiac disease.

On July 27, Celiac Disease Foundation CEO, Marilyn G. Geller, will be presenting the “Role of Patient Advocacy in Clinical Trials” on a webinar hosted by the Society for the Study of Celiac Disease.

Last week, the Celiac Disease Foundation, as part of The Defense Health Research Consortium, co-signed a letter requesting a budget increase for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs.
