Last week the Massachusetts Joint Committee for Higher Education held a hearing on the SNACCK Act—a bill focused on improving transparency and communication around medically necessary diets in schools.
Thanks to the moving testimonies of our advocates, Committee Co-Chair Jo Comerford called it “one of the most uplifting hearings” they’d had in a long time.
Massachusetts residents, help push this monumental progress forward so students with celiac disease like these can keep thriving at school. Email your state legislators today and ask them to co-sponsor this bill:

⭐ Congratulations to Monique Germone PhD, BCBA on being awarded the 2025 Celiac Disease Foundation / NASPGHAN Foundation Pilot Grant! Dr. Germone is a pediatric psychologist studying the experiences of families after a child screens positive for celiac disease but before a diagnosis is confirmed. She aims to better understand barriers families face in accessing ongoing evaluation and care.
