The Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (SSCD) and the Celiac Disease Foundation (CDF) are pleased to announce the SSCD-CDF Dietitian Award, which is available to registered dietitians to support research, education, community nutrition, or quality improvement (QI) activities that have the potential to advance nutrition care of patients with celiac diseaseProjects may be pediatric or adult focused. 

One registered dietitian will be awarded up to $10,000 for one year.

Applicant Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an active SSCD member.
  • Be a registered dietitian.
  • Be employed at an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to advancing celiac disease research and clinical care. 

Award Terms & Stipulations

  • The award provides up to $10,000 for one-year. 
  • Institutional indirect costs are not permitted 
  • Award funds may be allocated for conference travel expenses, up to $1,000.  
  • A complete financial statement and progress report are required at the conclusion of the award. The recipient will be required to indicate how the funds were used and the accomplishments achieved during the project. 
  • All publications resulting from work supported by SSCD must acknowledge support by the relevant funding mechanism by naming both SSCD and the Celiac Disease Foundation.

 

 

 

 

 

Selection Criteria

Scoring will be based on:

  • Significance and innovation of the proposed project.
  • Feasibility and rigor of the proposed project.
  • Commitment to advancing the lives of people with celiac disease.

Applications will be reviewed by the SSCD/CDF Research Committee.

Selected applicants will be notified via email. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
