Shilpa P. Saxena, M.D., is a board-certified family physician whose passion and purpose come to life through her experiences with education and patient empowerment. She serves as Chief of Medicine for n1Health and has more than 10 years of experience practicing Integrative and Functional Medicine.

Inspired to create a doctor’s office that offered all the meaningful components of good patient care, she founded the n1Health SevaMed Institute. Her practical approach focuses on treating the root causes of illness, the solution to the chronic disease epidemic.

A diverse teacher, she is a Fellow and Guest Faculty of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, Clinical Faculty with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and Clinical Faculty at George Washington University. Supporting health-focused collaboration even further, she is working with medical students, residents, and physicians at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine Family Medicine and Community Health Department to introduce and advance the concepts of functional, integrative, and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Saxena also serves as Chief of Medicine for n1Health and helps physicians create innovative and rewarding medical practices. She is an expert in the Group Visit medical model, creator of Group Visit Toolkits, co-creator of, and co-author of The Ingredients Matter: India.
