At Royal Hawaiian, we believe in the importance of finding balance in today’s fast-paced world. This means the joyful sharing of life and aloha with your family and your community. It means honoring qualities like balance and simplicity. It means being thoughtful about the food you put in your body and respecting the nature that provides it.
We believe that a long, healthy life begins with a well-balanced diet full of wholesome, all-natural foods. Did you know that Hawaii boasts the longest average life expectancy in the U.S.? We Hawaiians credit our longevity to healthy eating, happiness, and stress-free living.
In Hawaiian, “aloha” means more than just “hello” or “goodbye.” It means kindness, compassion, grace, and affection. Aloha stands for the Hawaiian values of patience, unity through harmony, and tenderness. Hawaiians live the Aloha spirit by loving family, caring for the community, and preserving the beauty of nature. At Royal Hawaiian, we infuse the spirit of aloha into everything we do, from our growing process to our sustainability practices and our pure, good-for-you macadamias.
Macadamias from the Royal Hawaiian Orchards have been locally grown and cultivated in Hilo, Hawaii for over 60 years. Sustainably-grown and nurtured in land rich with lava rock from our local volcanoes, these tasty gifts from nature are now a gift to you. After planting the macadamia cultivars, 5 years pass before the first savory nut is harvested, and it takes another 10 to 16 years for the trees to bear at optimum production. Honey bees are introduced to pollinate any number of the 200 to 300 blossoms on each macadamia raceme. During this process, the bees harvest the pollen and nectar from the blossoms to produce a delectable honey and more bees.
