Oreo Cream Brownies

  • Hodgson Mill Gluten-Free Brownie Mix plus required ingredients on box
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Shortening
  • 3 1/2 Cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Tablespoons Hot Water
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Make the brownies according to package instructions.
  3. To make the oreo cream, add the shortening, both sugars, vanilla, and hot water to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat on medium speed for two minutes, until combined and smooth.
  4. Once the brownie layer has cooled, spread the oreo cream over the brownies.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave until completely smooth.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate over the oreo cream layer.
  7. Let sit for two hours to set.
