  • 1 Bag Pamela's Products Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Frosting
  • 3 Cups powdered sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
  • 1 Stick Butter softened, or dairy-free alternative
  • 3-4 Tablespoons heavy cream or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. While the oven is heating up mix liquid ingredients well, then add mix and stir to incorporate.
  3. Pour batter into lightly greased 9"x13" baking pan.
  4. Bake for 24-30 minutes.
  5. Remove cake when toothpick comes out almost clean.
  1. Sift sugar and cocoa together into a large bowl (This can be done ahead of time).
  2. In a mixer combine 1 cup of sugar mixture with butter and 1 tablespoon cream, beating until smooth.
  3. Add another cup of sugar and another tablespoon of cream, beating well. Continue until all ingredients are combined and frosting is fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  4. Beat in vanilla until the frosting is well combined.
