Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cups Milk or non-dairy alternative
  • 1 Cup Butter or non-dairy alternative
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Cups Pamela's Products Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Batches Chocolate Frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 2 x 9 inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat butter, milk, cocoa powder, and chili powder.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder.
  4. Add chocolate mixture, eggs, and vanilla to flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Leave to cool completely before frosting.
