Those in the celiac and gluten-free community rallied together after the devastating Oklahoma tornadoes to provide much-needed food donations. Most emergency response systems do not prepare gluten-free provisions for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Instead, local individuals have organized gluten-free food donations stored and distributed at centralized locations in Oklahoma City.

Please remember that the need for food and shelter continues for months after the headlines and news coverage of a natural disaster stop…

CDF and the entire community is grateful for those who came together to ensure that gluten-free items were made available after this devastating natural disaster. Disaster preparedness poses unique challenges for those with celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. A more pro-active disaster preparedness tool will be revealed later this year.
