The Jericho Retirees Association (JRA) made a $1,000 donation to the Celiac Disease Foundation on behalf of Craig Pinto, who was recently inducted into the Jericho High School (NY) Alumni Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was established to highlight the diversified accomplishments of Jericho Alumni. Each year, the JRA selects one organization per induction class. This year, the JRA elected to support Craig’s outstanding work in the celiac disease community.

Craig was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2000. He got involved with the Celiac Disease Foundation in 2010, after meeting CEO Marilyn Geller and her son for the first time at the Columbia University Symposium. Prior to Craig joining the Foundation as the New York Area Development Officer, he earned his Master’s in Nonprofit Management at NYU and ran the National Celiac Disease Society (formerly known as the Kicking 4 Celiac Foundation), which provided education and awareness programs for the celiac disease community.

As a person with both Crohn’s disease and celiac disease, Craig is dedicated to helping those with celiac disease thrive to live and feel their best. We are proud to see Craig’s accomplishments honored within his community. Congratulations, Craig!
