Director of Annual Giving
The Director of Annual Giving must have a proven track record in the non-profit environment of developing long-term relationships with individual donors that has resulted in successful annual fund raising.
The Director of Annual Giving develops and executes comprehensive multi-year fundraising plans to grow the individual giving constituency group and develop a broad sustainable base of funding support for all of CDF. The position oversees multi-channel communication efforts (i.e. mail, email, online, website and social media platforms) and fundraising strategies, which will grow all levels of the annual giving donor base and increase long-term unrestricted revenue for CDF. In order to maximize growth in donor capacity and sustainability, the Annual Giving program will have a particular emphasis on the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top-level gifts strategies for donors.
Additional responsibilities include management of Chapter annual giving, donor databases, gift processing and accounting, special events, and donor recognition and stewardship. The Director of Annual Giving works with the Chief Development Officer to identify, cultivate and solicit major annual gift support.
The Director of Annual Giving works closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors in maximizing opportunities as well as building and managing a portfolio of relationships with prospective donors, including individuals and corporations.
|The successful candidate will be creative, flexible and skilled in multitasking. Experience in developing relationships with small and large corporations and foundations a plus.
A minimum of five year’s development/fundraising management experience with a non-profit organization. Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills. A working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge (or similar software) and the use of social networking required. Bachelors Degree necessary.
